Autism is a developmental disability characterized by impaired verbal and non-verbal communication skills and difficulties with social interaction, with serious implications for learning and development. The latest statistics indicate that one in 150 children in the U.S. is on the autism spectrum. Despite the prevalence of autism, there is less funding available for research and treatment than for many disabilities affecting a significantly smaller segment of the population. This video was produced for the express purpose of increasing autism awareness. The song, "For Dylan," was co-written by mother/son team Deborah French and Tim Busching; the video was produced and directed by filmmaker George Motz.
